Ghanaian defender John Boye has finally got his prayer answered to be recognized in the world of football……lol
John Boye’s own goal against Portugal at the 2014 World cup group stage match has been named as one of the top ten greatest own goals in the world cup history as compiled by Four Four Two Magazine.
John Boye who now plays for FC Metz scored the first goal in Ghana’s 2-1 loss to Portugal in the 2014 World Cup Group stage game, slicing a clearance above Fatau Dauda’s head into his own net.
Even though Ghana equalized with the help of Asamoah Gyan, Portugal won the game late on after another defensive blunder gifted Ronaldo a goal.
