Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo has assured his wife, Gifty Mawunya that he prays to have her by his side when he becomes the president of Ghana some day. According to John, he wants her to be his first lady some day.

The white wedding for John Dumelo and his wife Gifty was held yesterday, 11th May 2019 at Royal Senchi, Akosombo in the Eastern region. The couple held the traditional wedding ceremony on 12th May 2018 at a private ceremony in Accra.

During the exchanging of vows, John Dumelo after showering loved filled words on his wife pleaded with her to be by his side and become his first lady when he finally becomes the president of Ghana

Ever since John Dumelo joined active politics, he has been told by many that he stands the chance of being the president of Ghana someday if all other things being equal and he plays his card right.

Many even believe johns marriage to Gifty Mawnya is a political strategy considering the powerful influence Gifty’s family wield in the opposition NDC; the same party John Dumelo is a member of.

During the inaugural ceremony for Oppong Weah, the president of Liberia, John was introduced at the ceremony as the future president of Ghana to the Liberia populace.
