A hospital staff of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has been sacked by the hospital in a letter sighted on social media.
According to the disciplinary committee who sat on the case, the allegations by Mr, Awuni was false and as such contrary to section 13: 02 of the hospital’s disciplinary code.
It continued that instead of him using the proper medium in seeking clarification, he rather choose the media to spread those falsehoods and the hospital can’t condone such act.
The letter also added that he used strong and abusive language at his superiors and eventually failed to appear before the disciplinary committee when he was invited which is a gross disrespect to the committee.
Mr Awuni Akyireba who is an account officer for the hospital reported the hospital to CHRAJ and accused them of mismanagement of the COVID-19 funds.
He claimed that the hospital has used monies received as donations during the COVID-19 to rather purchase luxurious cars including buying one for the wife of a medical doctor.
