Kelvynboy, with his team, stormed out of the venue for the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards event after losing the Afrobeat song of the year category to newbies Dope Nation.
Kelvynboy who parades himself as the Afrobeat king in Ghana’s current music terrane lost the award for Afrobeat song of the year to ex-signees of Lynx Entertainment, Dope Nation.
Kelvynboy clearly anticipated winning the award to solidify his claim as the best among the few artistes blazing the torch for Afrobeat music in Ghana.
At day one of the 3-day event, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Kelvyn during his performance mentioned that his ”Mea” song deserved the award.
Unfortunately, the pundits and the voters did not agree as Dope Nation clinched the award with their nationwide banger, Zanku.
