A Ghanaian man has melted hearts on social media after preparing a traditional Ghanaian dish, kokonte, for his Chinese friends.
Kokonte is a local food made from dried and powdered cassava. It is served in most parts of Ghana with soup.
The video begins with the Ghanaian man clearly demonstrating the steps for preparing kokonte. He sat on a stool, a cauldron on fire and a wooden spatula in his hand.
He stirred the pot and shaped the dish, as his Chinese friends watched in awe.
One of the Chinese men who was recording the process on his personal phone stood up and spoke Twi, and from what he said he meant the Ghanaian man was preparing banku. The Ghanaians in the video corrected the expatriate by telling him, it was not banku but rather konkote/abete?.
Once the konkote is ready, the friends would sit down to enjoy the meal with soup and meat.
