The king of Swaziland has denied reports that he ordered men to marry at least 5 wives or be sanctioned if they fail to abide by it.
According to King Mswati III, the reports are false and it’s an insult to his personality and Swaziland as a country.

However, the king released a statement refuting the rumours and advised the general public to discard such false news.
The statement also ordered the state newspaper and other media houses to retract the statement which is an insult to the king.

It was recently reported that the King of Swaziland has ordered men in the country to marry more wives by the end of June or face severe punishment.
According to reports, the king was unhappy for the growing number of women in the country and warned the men to take advantage of the situation.
The reports also stated that anyone who goes against the order of the king will be imprisoned.
