Veteran highlife artiste Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has applauded rapper turn singer Kofi Kinaata as the only Ghanaian musician in the current crop of artiste doing good highlife music.
According to the musician, the likes of Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and others have no identity as far as music is concerned but that is different on the part of Kofi Kinaata.
Speaking in an interview with Joyprime he said: “If you take Kinaata when he sings you could see that there is kind of locality in there and when he is rapping to you can see the locality”.
He stated that though Kinaata is doing very well as far as music is concerned, he still a lot of this to lear to help him soar higher in his career.
Kofi Kinaata who was formerly signed under Samini’s High Grade Family is undoubtedly one of the young Ghanaian song writers noted for producing quality music with good lyrical content.
