The WWE Heavyweight champion Kofi Kingston today 30th June 2019 paid a courtesy call to the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo
The World Wrestling championship was at the Jubilee house with his mother to present his title to the President.

The champion originally known as Kofi Kingston Sarkodie Mensah is his first time in Ghana since 1993.
His visit to the President is in connection to activities lined up to welcome Africans in the Diaspora in the ‘Year of Return’ launched by the president in September 2018.

As part of his visit to Ghana, Kofi Kingston will also be at the Manhyia Palace to pay homage to Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.
The 37-year old Ghanaian-American wrestler defeated Daniel Bryan in April’s Wrestlemania 35 event to become the first African-American to pick up the sports entertainment’s most coveted crown.
