A few days ago, the reigning Highlife artist of the year at 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Kuami Eugene, and the One Corner hitmaker Patapaa Amisty who now wants to be called Patapeezy were embroiled in a beef.
It all started when Kuami Eugene in an interview with Regina Van-Helvert on GHOne TV stated that he has no intentions of collaborating with Patapaa because Patapaa does not do music but only noise.

Social Media users were reacting to this statement when Patapaa overnight released a diss song titled “Oteta fo” to diss Kuami Eugene even though Kuami had already come out to apologize and explained that his statement has been misunderstood by his critics.
The diss song was critics by both Patapaa’s fans and Kuami Eugene’s fans for being noisy and unnecessary. Patapaa has since apologized.

In a chat with Jessica Opare Saforo on Citi FM’s ‘Traffic Avenue’, Kuami Eugene was asked if he is preparing to release a diss song to counter Patapaa’s noisy diss song against him and he replied that it’s needless.
According to him, it’s needless to waste time and resources to record a diss song for another artist when the same resource could have been used to do something productive. So No, he is not recording a diss song for Patapaa.
“If I will record a song, it will be to wish Patapaa well. I don’t think I have the time to write and produce a diss song for another artist,” he said.
This statement from the Angela hitmaker has led many to believe that Kuami Eugene is gradually growing to become one of the intellectually matured artists we have in the industry. After all, it’s really needless.
