Veteran highlife artist, born Goerge Kwabena Adu aka Kwabena Kwabena has made a shocking revelation about the Ghana music industry following the death of dancehall diva Ebony Reigns.
Kwabena Kwabena in his statement described the Ghanaian music industry as ‘dangerous’ and ‘cold’, claim it is characterized by back-biters and people who seek the downfall of others.
The highlife legend’s statements come upon the several prophecies that predicted the death of the late dancehall artist, Ebony.
Many reports have declared after the sudden demise of Ebony and her friends that men of God, including famous Sound engineer Kaywa, proclaimed to have predicted the incidence and warned them over it.
The highlife diva being a strong believer of prophets and their supervision, suggested that everyone needed spiritual protection in an industry like this.
“I am spiritual. If I say I am spiritual, I mean I believe in prophesy and I believe in the men of God to pray for you in everything that you do,” he said to Lexis Bill.
Kwabena Kwabena emphatically described the music industry as dangerous and cold as well.
“Our industry is quite dangerous. I know what I am talking about…..I believe the industry is quite cold, there are some few bad ones in there who don’t really wish well for others,” he added.
He strongly lamented over what he describes as “hate” in the business and certainly stated that he is not proud of the state in which the industry is in now.
“It’s not something I am so proud of. I must say. I am not proud of it. There’s so much hate, there’s no love. There’s no togetherness. People don’t give respect to whom respect is due,” he lamented.
The ‘Bue Kwan’ hitmaker further added to question why people in the industry prefer very modern crop of musicians to ones who have been in the game longer.
