Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu is seeking from the government an addition of the dying movie industry into the touted “One District, One Factory” policy in order to inject some level of seriousness in the movie industry.

According to the Kumawood star, currently, the unavailability of laws in the movie industry has offered a platform for industry players to “do what they want” and that has brought about the dwindling fortunes of the movie industry.

Speaking in an interview with GhOne TV, he said; “For me, I expect that our father Nana Akufo-Addo will come and take the movie industry and hand it over to a private person to manage it for us because there are no laws in the movie industry so people do whatever they want. If the government sees the movie industry as part of the one district one factory, they will know that our district is bigger and they will focus on making the industry better”.

He, therefore, call on the actor guild to as a matter of urgency to meet with the actor and actresses in order to build a better movie industry because the industry is gradually dying.
