Just as Radio host and musician, Blakk Rasta met Parliament’s Privileges Committee over the same alleged comments he made claiming that over 80% of Members of Parliament smoke Maurijuana (wee).
Controversial Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese could also soon be dragged before parliament’s privileges committee over allegations that some lawmakers in the country smoke ‘weed’.
The Fante rapper was arrested in Kumasi on Saturday, November 22, 2014 for allegedly smoking cannabis in public. He has disclosed that even after his arrest, he still smokes the banned substance adding that he had hidden the fact from people for long and thought it is time he lets the cat out of the bag.
Earlier this week, Kwaw Kese claimed while advocating that the law making smoking in the country illegal be quashed.
“I know some people in Parliament who smoke weed,” he said
“As we age, you can’t hide the truth forever…I smoke and it’s good for me…I’ve been smoking for almost 20 years or more; there’s never been any implication,” the controversial rapper declared.
”I still smoke…before I got arrested, I was doing music to please people, I was ‘spoiling’ every stage which I still do and I was smoking weed doing that so I don’t want people to be like ‘because he got arrested, he’s stopped what he is doing’ Then I have to stop music; I still smoke weed…I used to be hiding it [but] now I want the world to know…” he said and cited that Nigerian musician Wizkid also smokes weed on stage.
However, Ras Mubarak, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumbungu Constituency gave the hint on Friday. He dared the musician to mention names of MPs who smoke the weed or face-off with lawmakers.
“If he indeed knows members of parliament who are smoking marijuana, he should actually come public with the names,” Ras Mubarak Said.
