The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper who also doubles as the Boss and Spokesperson for renowned ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has jumped to the defense of the embattled GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi in his famous “The President Is In My Pocket” Comment.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was arrested by the CID following a report by the president that the Ghana Football Association president is using his name to extort money from investors.

According to the report, Kwesi Nyantakyi told potential foreign investors that they only have to give the president $5 Million and the Vice President $3 million dollars and they will secure whatever contract they need. He allegedly added that he has the president in his pocket and visits him whenever he wants.

But speaking on Newsfile on 26th May, Kweku Baako Jr revealed that it is factually inaccurate to say that Kwesi Nyantakyi said the exact “The President Is In My Pocket” Comment but he may have said something to that effect.

He revealed that from the investigation as captured in the yet to be released video by Anas, Kwesi Nyantakyi is indeed peddling influence with the name of the president but he didn’t say exactly that the president is in his pocket as being speculated.

“There is no such thing as the president is in my pocket,” he said.
