Contrary to claims that the former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is a rich man, the first wife of embattled former GFA President, Christine-Marie Nyantakyi, has boldly confirmed that the portrayal of Mr Nyantakyi as a rich man is borne out of malice.
Christine-Marie Nyantakyi who’s also the Director of Oasis Montessori School at Teshie Greda Estates told Metro TV’s ‘Good Evening Ghana’ show that her husband who was the longest-serving GFA President and worked with FIFA and CAF does not have money.
“If someone has money, you can judge by the kind of house they live in and the kind of car they drive. People should take time and come and see where we live, if my husband has the kind of money, we wouldn’t be living there,” she stressed.
According to the wife, even the house they live in now, she said was built with money from the former GFA boss’ law firm.
“My husband has been a lawyer so that house that Kwesi has is his personal money he used to build,” she stated.
On how they intend to survive now that her husband is jobless, Mrs Nyantakyi said: “God will provide”.
