The Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, has revealed that he has been receiving a wave of attention from women, some of whom are interested in pursuing relationships with him.
However, he has firmly stated that he is already in a committed relationship and has asked for his privacy to be respected.
Speaking during a post-election discussion on TV3’s Ghana Decides program, Basintale addressed a viewer’s comment enquiring about his marital status.
“I go on TikTok and you see somebody has said, ‘the Basintale lady, Mrs Basintale,’” he shared humorously before adding, “Please, I am taken. Leave me in peace.”
The revelation came as Basintale responded to growing public curiosity about his personal life following his increasing visibility in Ghanaian politics.
While he acknowledged the attention, he reiterated that his focus remains on his relationship and his role within the NDC.
