Popular Ghanaian actor and aspiring member of parliament John Dumelo has shared his views on the Shatte Wale-Grammy nominations brouhaha.
In a Twitter post, the award-winning actor stated that Ghanaians should be happy for the ‘Melissa’ hitmaker.
According to John Dumelo, Shatta Wale didn’t mean he is a nominee but he is part of the production.
The actor added that all we can do as a country is to be happy for Shatta Wale and stop the criticisms.
” Saying his name has entered Grammys doesn’t mean he meant he’s a nominee. Let’s all be happy for @ ShattaWalegh”, John Dumelo tweeted.
This comes after the reggae-dancehall musician in a Twitter post indicated that he is so happy on his Grammy nomination.
Shatta Wale was featured on American music star Beyonce’s recent album dubbed “The Lion King; The Gift” which earned a Grammy nomination.
Well, Shatta Wale stated that since the album has been nominated it means he also has been nominated.
This tweet has caused a stir on social media where some social media users are of the view that Shatta Wale is not a nominee but a participant.
