Ibrahim Mahama’s name is not a strange name in the ears of Ghanaians and in Africa a such. He is the brother of the immediate past president of Ghana John Dramani Mahama. And is among the top 5 richest people in Ghana. He is actually worth $1.6 Billion.

Most of his worth comes from his mining companies in and around Africa.But beside these the mining companies, few people know that Ibrahim Mahama, the bank roller of the NDC, government owns several other businesses that brings in a lot of cash on daily bases

1. Engineers And Planners

Engineers and Planners is probably the only Ghanaians are familiar with. The company which has been operating for the last 2 decades specializes in the management and hiring of heavy duty plants, equipment and machinery, haulage, oil and gas, land reclamation and restoration, dam construction and mining is now operating in four countries: Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leon and Congo Brazzaville

His control over mining concession is expected to expand in to other countries in Africa in the near future. Besides these most rich mining lands in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana is under the control of Engineers and Planners.

2. Asutsuare Poultry Farm

Asutsuare Poultry Farm produces over 150,000 eggs per day and capable of producing 10,000 live chicks in a day.

Its one of the biggest poultry farms in Ghana and it is owned by Ibrahim Mahama.

3. MBG Ltd. (Sells MAN Diesel Trucks and offer after sales services)

MBG Ltd. is located in Tema, Ghana. Company is working in Car parts and Accessories, Vehicle services business activities.

4. ArcelorMittal Connections

Ibrahim does not own ArcelorMittal but in Sierra Leon and Liberia, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama and his company work in partnership with Mr. Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, an Indian steel magnate, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steelmaking company.

One of the richest people in the world and presently the 6th richest, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal owns 41 percent of Arcelor Mittal and holds a 34- percent stake in the English side, Queens Park Rangers F.C. football.

Engineers and Planners have also been contracted by Messrs Arcelor Mittal to provide mining services at their iron ore mining site at Yekepa in Northern Liberia. This project includes civil engineering works for installation of an iron ore processing plant and construction of a tailings Dam.

One of the richest people in the world and presently the 6th richest, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal owns 41 percent of Arcelor Mittal and holds a 34- percent stake in the English side, Queens Park Rangers F.C. football.

5. Real Estate Company

The real estate industry is blooming in Ghana lately and Mr Mahama has a stake in it. He owns one of the biggest Real estate Companies in the country.

Besides the above mentioned companies and businesses , Mr Ibrahim Mahama is nearly finished with his Cement processing company which he aims to employ 5000 people at the company.

With all these companies bringing in millions of dollars no wonder he owns a private jet which according to him, he got it as a collateral for a deal he made with some Americans
