Actress and producer Lydia Forson has voiced out her sentiments on why some Ghanaians are against the government’s decision to introduce sex education in basic schools.

The actress in a series of tweets stated that she cannot comprehend why lovemaking which is pleasurable and created by God is demonized by society.

Lydia Forson also stated that if the young ones are not introduced to sex education at a young age, some people will do that which will be through rape.

She tweeted; “If you don’t teach your children about sex, someone will and that someone will be that uncle, auntie, doctor, teacher. And history has taught us that for a lot of children these people teach them through rape. Sex education could have saved so many of us from bad sex”.

This comes after the Ghana Education Service introduced ‘Comprehensive Sexuality Education’ into the new curriculum in basic schools next year.

Scores of Ghanaians have opposed the idea, explaining that the pupils are too young to be exposed to such education.
