Maame Dokono Calls For State Burial For The Late Super OD

Asonoba Kwaku Darko, popularly known as Super OD passed away on Tuesday, February 13 at the Swedru Government Hospital in the Central Region. He was 84 years old.

Ghanaians are still mourning the death of the veteran actor and the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and ex-president John Dramani Mahama has joined Ghanaians to mourn the death of the old entertainer.

Reacting to the demise of the old entertainer on Rainbow Radio Hotline with Kwame Tutu on Wednesday, 14th February 2016, Grace Omabo popularly known as Maame Dokono has called on the government of Ghana to offer the Super OD a state burial.

According to Maame Dokono, the late veteran actor has contributed immensely to the creative art industry of Ghana and as such deserves to be honored with a State Burial for his contributions.

Mama Dokono recounted some fond memories of the late actor as far back as the days of “Akan Drama” where Super OD was one of the main actors.

Maama Dokono ended her phone conversation with Kwame Tutu by commiserating with the family of the late veteran actor.
