Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, a member of the 5th Infantry of the Ghana Armed Forces was gruesomely murdered by angry community members of Denkyira Obuasi in the Central region after he was deployed to the community to help stop Galamsey in line with the government of Ghana’s pledge to stop all illegal mining activities in the country.
Painfully murdered on 29th of May 2017, today is exactly 2 years Major Maxwell Mahama was killed serving his country.

Major Mahama left behind a young beautiful wife and 2 children. His wife, Barbara Mahama has taken to social media to send a touching message to him also to encourage each and everyone to live up to expectations.
According to Barbara Mahama, the career diplomate, when one is dead and gone, the only thing that will be left standing is the memories he/she left behind. He encouraged everyone to create good memories because that is the only that that will keep his/her ones sane.

Meanwhile several of the alleged killers of Major Mahama are still standing trial for the murder of the soldier. According to the reports, they mistook Major Mahama for a thief when they spotted a gun on him.
