The Kumawood movie industry as it stands now has some sort division in it involving some actors and actresses over some monies they received some years ago from the ruling NPP party.
It would be recalled that prior to the 2016 Elections some celebrities in the country joined forces to campaign for the ruling NPP then in opposition to come to power.
The group with the name Agenda 57 rallied support for the ruling party led by veteran actor Agya Koo and actress Martilda Asare.
Years down the line, it has been revealed that the leaders of the group had cheated some members of monies they received when the party came to power.
One of such persons is actress Mama Kali who has revealed that after the party came to power, her colleague Matilda Asare was given an amount of Ghc 310,000 to share for the members.
According to Mama Kali in an interview, out of this huge money the leaders of the group were given, she only got 2000Ghc as her share.
She explained that some other colleagues and members received GHS 500, GHS 1000 and GHS 2000.
Mama Kali added that this created confusion among the group members.
She however disclosed that due to that incident, herself and Matilda have never been good friends adding that she doesn’t think they can ever be good friends again.
