A man from Tema has apprehended a fake car dealer on the campus of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi following a car scam involving GHS 380,000.
According to the man, he paid the amount to two individuals after they allegedly assured him that the keys to a vehicle he was purchasing had already been handed over to his brother.
After making the payment, one of the men reportedly asked him to accompany them to their office to complete the necessary documentation for the vehicle.
However, the situation allegedly took an unexpected turn while they were on their way.
The man claims that the suspected car dealer suddenly attempted to escape on a motorbike, raising his suspicions and prompting him to pursue him.
He reportedly managed to apprehend the suspect on the KNUST campus, alongside the individual who was riding the motorbike.
The incident has attracted attention online, with questions being raised about the alleged transaction and the circumstances surrounding the GH¢380,000 payment.
The identities of the individuals involved have not been disclosed, and the allegations have not been independently verified.
It is also unclear whether the matter has been officially reported to the Ghana Police Service or whether the suspects have been taken into custody.
