Man dressed in military uniform climbs MTN mast after abusing Tramadol

A man believed to be his thirties at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern part of Ghana climbed up an MTN Telecom mast and threatened to kill anyone who dares try to rescue him.

Solomon Tetteh as identified by officers from the Police Officers and Fire Service rescue team threw residents into a state of shock when he was seen fully dressed in military uniform and was spotted at the upper part of an MTN Telecom mast.

The deranged man who was misbehaving and threatening to violently crush anyone who attempts to rescue him is reported to have been high on Tramadol.

The incidence happened at the Ghana Revenue Authority office Sunday evening with onlookers describing the action of the suspect as suicidal.

It took the intervention of a joint rescue team of Police, Fire Service and some residents to forcibly bring him down the man who looked high on Tramadol.

An eyewitness narrated that it was the second time the young man had behaved in such a manner claiming that they suspect the young man is mentally challenged due to tramadol abuse.

The suspect is in the custody of Odumase Police assisting with the investigation
