Reggae-dancehall musician and the CEO of Puom Music, Ras Kuuku has joined the long list of celebrities who are calling for the legalization of marijuana.
According to the ‘Wo’ hitmaker, marijuana is more beneficial and expensive than cocoa and Ghana will make a huge profit if the herb is legalised.
“Ghana, we are wasting time you know, compare the price of cocoa to marijuana and you’ll know that cocoa is a small boy nowhere close to marijuana.
Uganda and other countries are exporting marijuana to Canada, USA and other places making millions of dollars. Marijuana is more beneficial than cocoa, we should stop comparing the two.
Marijuana is 4,000 times expensive than cocoa. The government is wasting time imprisoning people who use marijuana instead of legalizing it. Ghana will make millions of dollars if the herb is legalized”, he stated.
Well, Ras Kuuku is not the only celebrity that is hoping for marijuana to be legalized in Ghana.
Sister Deborah, Kwaw Kese, Blakk Rasta, Samini, John Dumelo and several other celebrities have called on authorities to make the drug legal.
Recently, the Rastafari Council of Ghana disclosed that they will embark on a demonstration on 8th May 2019 over the decriminalization of marijuana.
