Former Machester United football, Memphis Depay is in Ghana and he has bee spotted wearing the popular Ghanaian school uniform, Tea and Bread, at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana.
The Netherlands football international, Memphis Depay visited the deaf and dumb school at Cape Coast to render some charity service to the school and he chose to dress as one of them.
The school’s official uniform is the famous light orange and deep brown cloth which is popularly known as Tea and bread in local parlance.
Seeking to be identified as one of them, International footballer, Memphis Depay requested for one of the uniforms and wore it as he took pictures with the happy students and staff.
Although Netherlands football star, Memphis Depay’s father is a Ghanaian and this is his second time of visiting his father’s land. He was in Ghana in 2018 and spent most of his offseason holidays in Ghana.
Sharing the news about the Dutch player’s presence in Ghana, Atinka Media sports journalist, Saddick Adams tweeted:
Former Manchester United player Memphis Depay is currently in Cape Coast, Ghana to support the Deaf and Dumb School here. And he chose to dress as one of them. The Dutch star, whose father is a Ghanaian, is visiting Ghana for the second time to engage in charity projects.
Memphis Depay joins like the likes of International footballers like Jerome Boateng and Mario Balotelli who have a Ghanaian descent.
