A middle-aged woman was disgraced and paraded in the market at Nzema for trying to purchase some items with counterfeit money.
A video sighted on social media sees people comprising of women, men and even kids hooting at the woman and calling her a fraudster.
It also showed the woman being pushed around by some of the angry people in the market.
She tried to resist and fight against them to prevent them from pushing her around, but it didn’t work, forcing her to sit on the floor while they continued to hoot at her.

Concerns regarding the woman’s treatment have been voiced by numerous social media users, who wonder if she even knew the money was fake.
Some have denounced the mob activity and called for authorities to look into it before passing judgment.
