DNA test on retrieved human parts matched missing Takoradi girls-Police

The Acting Inspector-General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh has just confirmed that the DNA test conducted on the body parts retrieved from Samuel Wills’ house has matched the DNA of the missing Takoradi Girls.

In August last this year, a special police operation led to the discovery and exhumation of the bodies of the three missing Takoradi girls at Kasawrodo in the Western region.

The human remains were retrieved from a manhole in the house previously occupied by the main suspect in the Takoradi kidnapping, Nigerian national, Samuel Wills.

To confirm if the remains were those of the missing girls, a DNA test was ordered to determine.

Just this evening, 16th September 2018, the Acting Inspector-General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh has just confirmed that the DNA test matched those of the missing girls.
