More suspected kidnappers arrested over Canadian girls’ abduction

The Ashanti Regional Police has apprehended three more suspects over the abduction of the two Canadian women in Kumasi last week.

Masoud Ibrahim, Yusif Mohammed, and Moro Issaka are the recent suspects. The new three suspects are aiding in the ongoing investigations the Police confirmed. This sums up to eleven suspects being apprehended over the kidnapping crime.

A reportage by the police of the Ashanti region did not spare any information on where the new suspects where arrested or their ages.

The initial eight consisted of five Ghanaians and three Nigerians were apprehended during a special security operation between Tuesday and Wednesday dawn in Kumasi where the two kidnapped Canadian ladies were set free.

The Police disclosed in its reportage that, they came across two blood-stained knives, a grenade and a piece of singlet soaked with suspected blood.

The Police named the eight suspects as, Yusif Yakubu, 28 years; Seidu Abubakari, 32 years; Abdul Rahaman, 30 years; Sulemana Abdul Nasiri Ahmed, Sefiano, 32 years; Abubakari Umar Farouk; and Iddrisu Maney all Ghanaians, as well as Ojiyorna Ellis, 27 years; Jeff Omarson, 28 years; and Sampson Aghaloro, 27 years, all Nigerians
