A Toyota Landcruiser v8 with registration number GW 1897 – 17 said to belong to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Hon Collins Dauda has been involved in a head-on collision with an Opel Cadet vehicle with registration number GW 1139 – Y claiming the lives of some occupants.
According to the police the Toyota Land Cruiser was from Sunyani heading towards Ntotroso in the Asutifi North District when it collided head-on with the Opel Astra taxi with registration number GW 1139 Y from the opposite direction.

The incident, according to Police sources, happened, Sunday evening around 11 pm, in a sharp curve on the Mahinso-Atuahene stretch of the Sunyani road in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Reports say the 27-year old driver of the taxi, Kwaku Isaac and four occupants died on the spot while two other occupants who were rushed to the Saint Elizabeth Catholic Hospital at Hwidiem died later.
Reports say four others who were onboard the MP’s Toyota Landcruiser v8 sustained various degrees of injuries but have since been treated and discharged. The MP was not on board the vehicle at the time of the accident.
