Legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician and “Abiba” hitmaker, Rex Omar have sent a word of advice to Shatta Wale that it’s about time he changes his style of music to suit the dancehall genre he claims to do.
In Rex Omar’s assertion, Shatta Wale should name his kind of music Rudebwoy Highlife so he can showcase it to the rest of world and not Dancehall as he always brands it.
“I would be happy if Shatta Wale sells our brand of music to the world, not Dancehall which originated from Jamaica,” he said.
Rex Omar further indicted that Shatta Wale could have been a very big ambassador for Ghana’s Highlife music to the outside world due to his big brand because most of his[Shatta Wale’s] hits songs are Highlife songs that would have been promoted worldwide if he tagged them as Rudebwoy Highlife rather than Dancehall.
