Controversial media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has waded into the Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale VGMA ban.
According to the self-acclaimed queen of comedy, Ghanaian musicians should come together and boycott the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards because it is biased.

She also added that Charterhouse is using the intellectual properties of musicians for their selfish gains.
Afia Schwarzenegger took to her Instagram page to share her sentiments. She had this to say;
“And who are they banning for allowing guns yes guns into the auditorium.Â
Who are they banning for endangering the lives of people, who did they ban for the people that collapsed becos of their incompetence, how did 1 sneak in a pepper spray?
I am expecting @vodafoneghana to disassociate their reputable brand from an embarrassment and incompetence like Charter House.
Also, musicians should come together n boycott VGMA…it is bias, they are using you and your intellectual properties for their selfish gains…Really how much kraa did ur so called award came with???

This statement by Afia Schwar comes after Charterhouse disclosed that the two best dancehall artists, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been banned indefinitely from participating in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards scheme.
They further stated that the two musicians have been stripped of all awards they won on the night and asked them to return the plaques to Charterhouse.
They also added that the two top honours of the night which is the Most Popular Song of the year and Artiste of the year have been annulled.
This decision by Charterhouse follows the chaos caused by Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy which marred the show for almost 30 minutes.
