Veteran Ghanaian rapper and Pan-Africanist, Okyame Kwame, has shocked many Ghanaians with his latest revelation as to how he seeks permission from his wife before withdrawing money from their joint account.
Speaking in an interview with TV show host Cookie Tee on Joy Prime, the award-winning musician confessed that he’s a spendthrift hence his wife had to keep in him check.

As disclosed by the rapper, before his wife took over the helm of their finances, he used to spend money on a lot of useless things such as buying overpriced clothes and shoes.
So his wife was left with no other effective option to put him in check than to fully control their joint bank account.
Okyeame Kwame added that he takes permission from his wife before making a purchase of anything above the allocated budget.
He continued that he used to receive 100 Cedis a week from his wife during the time a litre of petrol was 10 Cedis.

For the past 10 years and counting, it is his wife who gives him weekly chop money and it has helped and strengthened their finances.
The “Rap Doctor” advised his fellow married men to follow his template if they want to be financially stable and avoid unnecessary spending.
