A heartbreaking video of songstress Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, well known as Mzbel, struggling to hold back her tears following news of her father’s passing has surfaced online.
The veteran musician who has now shifted her focus to radio was on air hosting her regular adult show on Accra-based Onua FM when she received the sad news.
Mzbel couldn’t comport herself as she broke down in tears and ended the show midway, packed her bags and stormed out of the studio to go see the mortal remains of her father.
She explained to listeners that her late father, Mr Albert Amoah, was a Muslim and as custom demands, he was expected to be buried on the same day. She added that she needed to see his remains to pay her last respect before his burial.
Mzbel posted a new video on her Instagram page on Friday, January 28, 2022, showing her at the funeral grounds of her late father.
She was seen clad in a black floor-length dress, indicating she was in a state of mourning.
The cause of the death of Mr. Amoah is yet to be disclosed by the singer and her family.

This sad news comes a few days after the passing of Afia Schwar’s father. Afia Schwar and Mzbel are arch enemies and have both lost their fathers in the same month.
