Controversial Legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has waded in on NAM1-Menzgold fraud saga amidst high tension amongst aggrieved Menzgold customers.

In an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw said the CEO of the troubled gold firm must be set free to cough out about GH¢200m to settle his customers who are currently thrown in a state of shock.
He noted that NAM’s prosecution is uncalled for.

Just yesterday, Nana Appiah Mensah was arraigned before court where he was charged with two counts of abetment to defraud by false pretense and two counts of abetment to carry out banking business without licence, contrary to Section 6 (1) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
