Nana Aba Anamoah claims that she was innocent about the whole brouhaha surrounding the fake number plate since it was a gift she received from an admirer.

Speaking to the host of Morning Star, Nana Aba Anamoah said:

” When I noticed the concerns about the number plate, I went to the police myself to file a report. The next day, I went to the regional CID officer and filed a witness statement that I had received a car with a fake number plate. I took it seriously. I don’t know how this number plate came on the car and the police are investigating”.

The award-winning journalist wandered why people will point fingers at her when she received a gift just like the others she received on her birthday.

Nana Aba Anamoah even stated during the interview she does not have the money to buy such a car on her own to fix a fake number plate on it.

“I received as a gift, I have nothing to do with it and I don’t even have that money to buy such a car,” she said.
