Nana Pooley did not want to go to Nsoatre – Prophet

A friend of the late Nana Pooley has talked about the death of the die-hard Kotoko supporter who was murdered in the aftermath of the Nsoatreman and Kotoko football match.

Speaking in an interview monitored by GhPage.com, Prophet Ogididi said the last time he saw Pooley was a week ago at the Asokore Mampong station where he had a brief discussion with him.

He said initially Nana Pooley was reluctant to go to Nsoatre to witness the Kotoko game because he had received death threats from Nsoatreman fans.

Pooley later decided to go to Nsoatre, after he was assured of his safety by his chairman and trusted persons.

He added that the moral lesson of Pooley’s tragic death was for people to be cautious and seek protection all in their doings.
