It has been confirmed that the National Communications Authority (NCA) has withdrawn its earlier directive to telecommunication companies to bar calls from customers who have not registered their SIM cards yet.
This means that the telcos have now stopped barring calls from their subscribers who are yet to complete their SIM card registration.

The new directive from the agency is thought to be a response to popular outrage.
Prior to the deadline of September 30, 2022, SIM card users in Ghana who neglected to re-register their cards began to face repercussions on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Below are some of the reactions from Ghanaians following the new directive from the NCS to the telcos;
Julian Bortey – All the telcos need to be sued ,, for monies lost as a result of their ignorance, they are private entities who are providing service for the nation not on behalf of government.. which part of the government regulations give them the right to ostracize customers for non compliance, considering not every one have access to their Gh card ., looks like those in charge are loosing In up there .
