Koku Anyidoho ‘punches’ Mahama, Asiedu Nketiah and other NDC top officials

Deputy General Secretary of the opposition, National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has stated that for the NDC to regain its lost glory, the party has to wean and clean itself from ‘deity’ Mahama and his ‘hallowed bootlickers’ which includes elements who worked against the vision and success of late President Atta Mills.

The General Secretary position is currently being held by Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito which he has described as no contest the decision by his deputy, Koku Anyidoho to battle him for the position.

General Mosquito as he is popularly called, for the first time since he became General Secretary is facing stiff competition from Koku Anyidoho, who has vowed to snatch the post from him.

Many political pundits are shocked at the challenge since this is the first a deputy is challenging his boss for the position in the history of the NDC.

In a piece authored by Koko Anyidoho stated that the solution to the NDC’s current condition is for the ‘Latter Day Saints’ who have taken over the party to ask themselves some tough questions- questions like “what happened to the strong and vibrant party Prof Mills left?”- and see where the answer leaves them.

In what seems to be a direct shade aimed at Sam George, MP for Ningo Prampram, Koku Anyidoho wrote in his write up wrote: “This is the time the NDC must close its ranks. The NDC must filter itself clean of people who now surprisingly portray themselves as hallowed bootlickers of former President Mahama, yet not very long ago were operating from the wardrobes of Vice President Aliu Mahama against the Presidential bid of H. E President John Evans Atta-Mills.”

He further stated that “Be that as it may, the venerable and never-vindictive Professor Mills, defied cautious counsel and brought all of them under his fold including their avowed deity who led the party to it most miserable defeat. They fail to ask, what happened to the vibrant, strong NDC Prof. Mills left?”

“The NDC that these “Latter-Day Saints”, who shout their phony love for the party so hard now is certainly not what Prof. Mills left us. The one that had members as true Cadres of the principles of probity and accountability.”

It is without denying the fact that the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress are sounding a deafening call for a massive shake-up at the highest level of the party’s structure.

Such desire by the grassroots cannot be premised on baseless whimsical thinking as some people will have us believe. It is based on deep introspection oozing out as a by-product of the despondency and reckless disregard for the unbridled party faithful.

They saw and felt the palpable neglect and self-centredness that became the trademark of people holding positions of influence within the party and government at almost every level of leadership from very top all the way down to the branch level.

It is therefore surprising, that the same people who brought upon us this apparent despair and unbearably difficult life in opposition are engaged in a grand scheme to entrench their foothold in the party to keep us in opposition for a long time.

This is the time the NDC must close its ranks. The NDC must filter itself clean of people who now surprisingly portray themselves as hallowed bootlickers of former President Mahama, yet not very long ago were operating from the wardrobes of Vice President Aliu Mahama against the Presidential bid of H. E President John Evans Atta-Mills.

Be that as it may, the venerable and never-vindictive Professor Mills, defied cautious counsel and brought all of them under his fold including their avowed deity who led the party to it most miserable defeat. They fail to ask, what happened to the vibrant, strong NDC Prof. Mills left?

The NDC that these “Latter-Day Saints goal of dividing the front of the party and the support base of its reliable members. We shall overcome.

Whilst we are at it, Let us remember Marcus Aurelius when he said “To pursue the unattainable is insanity, yet the thoughtless can never refrain from doing so”.

Long Live the NDC

Long Live Probity and Accountability”, who shout their phony love for the party so hard now is certainly not what Prof. Mills left us. The one that had members as true Cadres of the principles of probity and accountability.

The true Cadres will not allow itself to be bullied, divided, and cowed, into self-serving worship of an individual who has failed the NDC with deep seeping nepotism, greed and self-adulation with a deliberate.
