The national chairman for the opposition party National Democratic Congress Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has been charged by the Police CID after a scrutinizing him to questions pertaining to his leaked tape in which he is said to have made comments threatening insecurity in the country.
Mr Ofosu-Ampofo has been charged with conspiracy to cause harm, threatening harm, rioting and assaulting public officials.
In the audio that got leaked last week by the Member of Parliament of Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong but according to sources, the audio was given to him by a high-ranking official in government.
He has been granted a 500,000-cedi police bail.
