Maverick Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyepong, has said earlier reports that suggested that he had promised to put 5 musicians on GHC 5,000 monthly salary each is never said by him.
The member of parliament in a recent report pledged GH¢ 5,000 each for A.B. Crentsil, Nana Kwame Ampadu, Jewel Ackah, Obuoba J.A. Adofo and C.K. Mann as monthly salaries which would be paid until their deaths.
According to him, he rather promised to give the five musicians five thousand Ghana cedis so that they share among themselves but the media miscommunicated the information.
“I think there was a miscommunication somewhere. I met Obour at Flagstaff House last night and told him my GH¢ 5,000 cedis is ready but the issue is that I never promised to give each of them GH¢ 5,000 but rather, I said I will give the 5 musicians GH¢ 5,000”, he said on Adom TV.
Nevertheless, he indicated that the cheque for the musicians is ready for picks by the MUSIGA President, Bice Osei Kuffour.
