Legendary musician Jewel Ackah is reported dead at his home at about 7pm on Friday, according to information reaching us.
The musician was 73.
The musician has been battling stroke and other illnesses for over 10 years.

In a series of interviews granted by the musician, he thanked God for keeping him alive and making his condition improving.
“I have been battling with stroke, leg pain and I mean so many things. I just give thanks to the Almighty God for even bringing me this far. At first, I couldn’t walk nor speak. For now, I am able to walk a little but not all that good as compared to the first,” he said.

It appears, however, that despite donations to the musician to aid his recovery, his condition had deteriorated, leading to his death.
Jewel Ackah is noted for several hit songs, including the anthem of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Tributes have already started pouring in for the great musician on social media.
