Some Ghanaians on social media for the past few days have registered their displeasure at the Nigerian community after they failed to show love to the Zylofon media artiste StonebwoyShatta WaleBecca and co who performed last Friday at the launch of Zylofon media and Menzgold in Nigeria.

This issue has become a debate on social media as to why Nigerian artists are making it globally leaving our Ghanaian musicians far behind but according to Fante rapper and singer Kofi Kinaata, Nigerians are better than Ghanaians in so many areas when it comes to making good music that can cross borders.

In an interview with Radio Central, Kofi Kinaata who recently had a European tour and he performed in Italy, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Switzerland confirmed that during his tour, he realized Nigerian music has overshadowed Ghanaian music in Europe and cited that there is more work to be done.

“There is more work to be done. Because Nigerian music is overshadowing Ghanaian music. Maybe its because the Nigerians are many than us. In my, Austria show the Nigerian fans were plenty than Ghanaians. Nigerian are plenty than us, when it comes to businesses, footballers, actors and other areas. So, for now, I can say the Nigerians are ruling Africa music,” he said.

In reaction to the above scenario that happened in Nigeria, Ghanaians on social media have started a campaign last Saturday urging Ghanaians to also stop hyping anything Nigerian in Ghana.

According to those with this opinion, Ghanaian DJs and showbiz personalities have been promoting Nigerian works for long so they can’t understand why Nigerians should disrespect our big artiste like that.
