A video of when the two Canadian ladies who were kidnapped last week were rescued have surfaced on social media to the delight of many who were worried about their state of health.
The two Canadian ladies were in Ghana on International Volunteer activities and they were kidnapped in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region after they stepped out of their hotel room where they were lodging as they perform their activities on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
After the Canadian government flew some security experts from Canada to Ghana to help find and rescue their citizens, a Special Operations team from National Security took charge of the operation on Monday, 10 June and together with the Candian team rescued the two ladies today, Wednesday 12th June.
According to the reports received so far, the two men have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping. They are assisting investigations.
The report further revealed that the two men captured are Nigerians who are living in Ghana illegally.

In the meantime, the Ghana Tourism Authority has shut down the hotel the Canadians were lodging in. According to the authority, they were not licensed to operate and they lack basic security things like CCTV cameras.
