Angel Obinim’s son, Senior Bright died through reckless driving-Police

Police have released the preliminary report on the death of Bright Nana Wireko aka Senior Bright, the adopted son of the founder and leader of International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim.

According to the report, Senior Bright caused the accident that led to his death and the dead of One Esther Antwi and injured many including a Municipal Chief Executive through his reckless driving.

Narrating what happened, the police report revealed that the 38-year-old gospel musician was driving from Agona Swedru to Kasoa with a Vibe Pontiac private vehicle with registration number GR 5669-18. He had three other passengers with him; Janet Eyiah, Esther Antwi and Maame Nzema.

On reaching a section of the road at Pashew industry, Gomoa Potsin Junction around 1:00 pm, and with several cars ahead of him, Bright attempted to overtake all the cars ahead of him but unfortunately, he crashed into Toyota Hilux private vehicle with registration number GV 308-17 going the opposite direction.

The Toyota Hilux belongs to the Tano South Municipal Assembly and the Presiding Member Hon. John Dadzie and Deputy Coordinating Director Evans Akingya were being driven from Accra to Bechem by 44 years old John Owusu.

Obinim’s son died on the spot whiles others who were injured were rushed to Trauma and Specialist hospital at Winneba.

Esther Antwi who was sitting in Bright’s car died a few minutes after being taken to the hospital and to the mortuary.
