Family and friends of Kofi B observed a one-week commemoration at the Achimota De Temple Social Center following the demise of the late musician.
Highlife singer, Ofori Amponsah, also referred to as ‘Mr All 4real’ also came to the grounds and in a video sighted by GHPage.com was seen weeping uncontrollably.
The ace highlife musician had to be comforted by close pals and other mourners who were at the social centre.
He later took the stage to perform some of his hit songs to help dry the tears of the gathered mourners.
During his performance, he reacted to the claims that he cursed the late Kofi B, which he said he can’t kill a human being and rather saw him as his brother.
Intermittently, he kept shedding tears during the course of his performance.
The date for the final burial of the late highlife legend has been scheduled to happen on April 26, 2020, in Accra.
Although a newcomer with a lot of promise, it was Kofi B’s features with Ofori Amponsah –who was already a household name–which helped him shoot through the roof.
Kofi B and ‘Mr All 4Real’ released an album together, titled ‘The Return of Kofi B’ and the latter also helped produce other tracks for Kofi B.
The late Kofi B and Ofori Amponsah have been good friends in the entertainment sphere for more than a decade. They have also featured each other on songs that became hits in the country.

Kofi Boakye Yiadom, known in showbiz circles as Kofi B, died Sunday,2nd February 2020 prior to his performance at a concert in Cape Coast in the Central region.
The ‘Mmobrowa’ singer, according to colleague musician Kofi Nti, started complaining of chest pains and unusual heartbeat.Â
The ‘Bantama Kofi Boakye’ hitmaker was restless with very high body temperature and unusual blood pressure, the doctor said after his death.
The ‘Mmobrowa’ hitmaker was rushed to the hospital after he started complaining of chest pains and unusual heartbeat not long after performing at an event.
A doctor at the hospital said Kofi B was sweating and vomiting when he was admitted.Â
Kofi B was pronounced dead a few hours after the arrival.
