Samuel Ofosu Ampofo invited by CID over leaked audio

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has invited the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo over the alleged leaked audio.

Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was heard on tape instigating violence after the recently held by-elections at Ayawaso.

The NDC Chairman was also heard allegedly telling his members to rain insults on the Chairman of the National Peace Council, Rev Emmanuel Asante.

Samuel also encouraged his party communicators to target Jean Mensa who is the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

The audio was leaked by the Member of Parliament of Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong but according to sources, the audio was given to him by a high-ranking official in government.

Well, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has been invited by the Criminal Investigation Department to assist in investigations over the leaked audio.

However, the New Patriotic Party’s Communication Director, Yaw Buaben Asamoa has called for the resignation of Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

According to Yaw Buaben, the NDC must take this bold decision in order to restore their right to participate at the moral level in the politics of this country.
