Okomfo Kwadee abandoned at Rehab Center for 4 years

Lydia Abena Manu. the founder and Leader of Willing Ways foundation, a rehabilitation center has revealed that popular Ghanaian Hiplife artist Jerry Anaba aka Okomfo Kwadwee has been dumped at the rehabilitation center for the past four years and not even a single person has been there to pay him a visit.

According to Lydia Abena Manu, ever since Okomfo Kwadwee was brought to the Rehab center in 2013 by his own mother, no family member including the mother or any musician has even passed through to see how he is doing.

It was during the peak of Kwadwee’s career that news went viral that Okomfo Kwadee has allegedly lost his mind due to continues abuse of illicit drugs.

He went into hiding for years after the news broke and tried a come back in 2012 with a new song titled “Menie”. But he vanished a few months after that until Lydia Abena Manu just revealed where he is to the media.

According to the information gathered, the “Meko Maape” hitmaker was sent to the rehab center on 22nd July 2013, by his mother

“I provide him with shelter, food and many other things he needs, but his family members, his fellow musicians, the Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) and the Musicians Union Of Ghana association (MUSIGA) have abandoned him”, Lydia Abena Manu disclosed to a reporter.

Until he lost his ways to drugs, Okomfo Kwadwee was regarded as one of the best artists of his time. It’s quite unfortunate the legend lost his dream in this sad manner.
