Actor turned politician John Dumelo last weekend pulled a surprise on many after he was able to pull massive votes during the NDC’s primaries for Parliamentary candidates.
Prior to the primaries, renowned Pollster, Ben Epson stated that the actor would loose massively to his opponent but after the election, it was the other way around as the actor pulled over 700 votes whiles his opponent pulled 77 votes.
Many people wondered how John Dumelo was able to pull that off especially since he is a newbie in politics.
Well, he has finally come out to reveal the tactics he used in gaining the trust of the delegates that voted for him.
According to John Dumelo, he bought plastic chairs for some of the delegates and also paid school fees for some of the delegates.
John Dumelo come election 2020 would be the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
He has been an avid member of the biggest opposition party in Ghana now, for some years but started showing his face when former President John Mahama brought him on board.
John Dumelo has also in a recent interview on TV3 revealed his plans of tackling sanitation issues at his constituency if he is giving the nod to Ghana’s parliamentary chamber in the upcoming 2020 general elections in the country.
