A pastor identified as Apostle Ekow Badu Wood who is the area pastor for Church of Pentecost for Kasoa in the Central Region has asked men to start paying their wives monthly salaries for running their homes.

According to him, the wives deserve a monthly payment because of their invaluable contribution to running the home effectively.

Speaking at the end of a 21-day prayer and fasting revival at the New Bortianor District Prayer Centre, Apostle Badu Wood said husbands must appreciate their wives for the peace and stability they enjoy at home.

PENTECOST PASTOR’S BACKGROUND

The revered man of God recounted some time ago when his wife traveled and left their children with him. He remembers how he struggled to cater for them in terms of cooking, bathing, conveying them to school and helping out in their homework among others.

The Area head said the ability to think of what meal to prepare alone was a daunting task he faced. Confessing that, it was then that he appreciated his wife for her contribution to the home.

The former General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost averred that the crucial role played by women and wives is one that can never be overlooked. “A fair way of showing gratitude for selfless service to the family is for the husbands to pay a monthly salary. This payment is as a form of motivation to encourage them to do more.”

Apostle Badu Wood added that the peace, calm and stability enjoyed in many homes emanates from the good works of wives who go the extra mile to pull all the strings to ensure sanity in the home.
