Daasebre “Ahuofe” Gyamenah, a true highlife legend,as Ghpage.com reported succumbed to a heart attack at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Friday, July 29, 2016.
The past weekend saw the final burial rites for Ghanaian musician Daasebre Gyamenah. Daasebre who was buried in his maternal hometown of Anomabo Ndasimam in the Central region.
Daasebre first came into the limelight with “Ko ko ko” which featured Lord Kenya in 1999.
He was since then widely considered a reference point in contemporary highlife as his touch of voice and style on a beat was a masterclass.
He was reportedly working on a gospel album detailing his recent trials till his death.
